NEWS 1 -Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union budget for 2023-24. The budget this time promised about giving a lot of concession to the middle class. Duty has been reduced on electronic products.
NEWS 2 – The budget said annual income upto Rs 7 lakh is exempted from tax. Earlier, it was Rs. 5 lakh now it has become Rs. 7 lakh. That means, those whose income is upto 7 lakh will not have to pay any tax from now on. The tax ceiling has been increased by Rs 2 lakh in one step.
NEWS 3 – Allocation of money under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has been increased by 66 per cent. Now 89 thousand crore rupees have been done. More importance has been given in the budget for the construction of houses for the poor.
NEWS 4- Beneficiaries under the Antodaya Yojana will get free ration for one more year. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced this while presenting the budget on Wednesday. She said this project will be continued so that the poor get minimum inconvenience.
NEWS 5 -Bad news for smokers. The price of cigarettes is increasing as per the budget presented by Sitharaman on Wednesday. 16 per cent duty has been imposed on cigarettes. This will increase the price of a pack of cigarettes.
NEWS 6- Reacting on the budget, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the budget has been made in the interest of the people. Special attention has been given to the poor and the middle class. The Prime Minister said that this budget will be helpful in fulfilling the aspirations of the common people.
NEWS 7 -Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday, came to Parliament for the budget session. As soon as he entered Parliament, parliamentarians started chanting Bharat Jodo slogans. On January 30, Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jaro Yatra ended in Srinagar.
