NEWS 1- Fresh violence erupts in Manipur
In fresh violence in Manipur, two houses were torched by a mob in Imphal East district after two armed miscreants forced people to shut their shops on Monday afternoon, police officials said. However, no casualty was reported due to the arson.

NEWS 2- Ask Russia to end war: G7 tells China
The Group of Seven wealthy democracies united in urging China to pressure its strategic partner Russia to end its war on Ukraine and resolve territorial disputes peacefully. In a joint statement, the G7 leaders emphasised they did not want to harm China and were seeking “constructive and stable relations” with Beijing, “recognising the importance of engaging candidly with and expressing our concerns directly to China”.

NEWS 3- South actor Sarath Babu no more
Veteran South actor Sarath Babu died in a Hyderabad hospital today at the age of 71. He had been in hospital since last month and was being treated for multiple organ failure, the hospital said. “He was brought to AIG Hospitals on 20th April 2023 in critical condition with multiorgan failure.

NEWS 4- Ukraine crisis reaches in Cannes film fiesta
A woman dressed in the colours of the Ukrainian flag staged a protest on the red carpet of the 76th Cannes Film Festival, on Sunday. The protester poured fake blood on herself on the steps of the Palais des Festivals during the screening of the film ‘Acide’ by French film director Just Philippot, before being removed by security staff.

NEWS 5- Bajrang Punia accepts Brij Bhushan’s challenge
Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Bajrang Punia has responded to the Wrestling Federation of India WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s challenge. Brij Bhushan Sharan had said that if the wrestlers are ready for the narco test, he too is ready.

NEWS 6- Akali Dal rules out possibilities of alliance with BJP
A day after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) put an end to speculations over alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) saying the party will contest all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab on its own in 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Sukhbir Badal-led party on Monday said that it too has ‘no desire’ to ally with the saffron party.
