NEWS 1- Admin relaxes curfew from 5 am to 11 am on May 30
Imphal East district administration has decided to relax curfew from 5 am to 11 am on Tuesday to enable the common people to get home with essential items like edible items and medicines. However, those associated with essential services like press, civic administration and courts will be allowed to carry out their work even after the stipulated time of 11 am.
NEWS 2- Peace committee submits memorandum to Amit Shah
Konthoujam Gram Panchayat peace committee on Monday submitted a memorandum to the union home minister Amit Shah through their local MLA Dr S Ranjan Singh. The signitaories demanded for the immediate restoration of normalcy and suspension of talks with the Kuki militants.
They also called for the imposition of NRC in Manipur and stringent action against CRPF. The committee made it clear that it is not in favour a separate administration—at the same time expects a detailed report from the state government regarding the present situation in Manipur.

The Higher Education Department of Assam has instructed the Director of Technical Education and the Principal of the Assam Engineering College (AEC) to submit a report on the circumstances that led to the loss of lives of seven students of Assam Engineering College in the tragic accident.
