NEWS 1 – Voting for assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh was held today. Polling was held peacefully across the state. In Himachal Pradesh, there is a direct fight between BJP and Congress. A special feature of Himachal Pradesh politics is that political parties can form the government in succession. Various surveys have indicated that the BJP is forming the government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been campaigning for the Himachal Pradesh elections for the past few days. Congress president, Mallikarjun Kharge had also come for campaigning.

NEWS 2- Reserve Bank has announced the rate of inflation in the country for this month. Inflation had been on the rise for several months. Reserve Bank Governor Shashikant Das said that he is optimistic that the inflation rate will be seven percent. He believes that this success has come as a result of taking some specific policy decisions.

NEWS 3- Lachit Borphukan should be respected across the country as Shivaji is being adored. Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma made this comment. He said the 400th birthday celebration will be celebrated in New Delhi on October 23 and 24 which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend. The government wants to highlight Lachit Bor Phukan’s struggle against the Mughals to the whole country.On the occasion various projects have been planned by the central and state governments on this occasion, he informed.

NEWS 4- Due to the gas leak, there was an intense panic in Cachar’s Sonai’s Sonabarighat section II area.Due to the incident of gas leakage from the pipeline of the Ghar Ghar gas project, panic was created. Even the residents had to leave their homes. The incident created a tense atmosphere in the entire area.

It is noted that during the tenure of former MLA Aminul Haque Lashkar, a project of gas supply from the Sonabari Ghat ONGC gas plant to a house-to-house pipeline was taken up. Accordingly, the ONGC has already completed the work of laying the pipeline house to house.

However, the gas connection has not yet been given. Meanwhile, on Saturday afternoon, gas started coming out of the pipeline. At first, the situation was normal, but after a while, panic spread throughout the area. Immediately, the locals informed the departmental authorities. ONGC officials came and brought the situation under control.

NEWS 5-Trade Union Coordination Center Assam State Conference was held in Silchar, the two-day meeting was conducted by UTDC State General Secretary Mihir Nandi. In this session, new committees will be formed and in the coming days, they will fight against the government’s anti-workers stance by the central state government.

UTDC Central President Prabir Banerjee and Haren Bargohai, State Construction Workers Federation Leader Rafiqul Islam, and others were present on that day.

NEWS 6- A gang of robbers was arrested by the police while going on a robbery spree with various weapons including guns in Cachar’s Lakhipur in Palerband area. Six robbers were arrested with handmade guns.

They were arrested by the police late at night when they were going for a robbery in a van with guns and weapons. The police arrested them at Lakhipur at Palerband railway crossing. The names of these 6 robbers are Nixon Khasia Saju, Ahmed Naibur Rahman, Arif Uddin, Ainul Islam, and Rinku Das. Some of them are from Borkhola’s Balacharra area. They were produced in Lakshipur court and then remanded and interrogation is on by the police.
