NEWS 1- Home Minister Amit Shah ordered to find and expel illegal infiltrators in every state. He gave this order in a meeting with SIB officers in Delhi today. He has fixed a specific target for this in each state. At least 100 people need to be identified in the state every day. This decision was taken after a long discussion with SIB officers today. The SIB has to do both the identification and expulsion process of the intruder.
NEWS 2- The country’s inflation rate this month has slightly come down. The inflation rate eased to 8.9 percent in October. In this way, the rate of increase in commodity prices has been decreasing slightly over the last three months. Last week the Governor of the Reserve Bank made a prediction in this regard. The inflation rate was above 10 in the previous month.
NEWS 3- The central government has sought time from the Supreme Court to give its opinion on the government law on places of worship. A government circular was passed on 11 July 1991 that the religious places where they existed before 1947 would remain.
Of course, Ramjanmbhoomi Babri Masjid was excluded. There have been several cases in the Supreme Court challenging this notification. The Supreme Court has asked the Center for its opinion on the matter. The central government sought time from the court to give its opinion.
NEWS 4- Silchar Press Club will go to the Chief Minister against the harassment of medical journalists. The Silchar Press Club has protested against the attack on journalist Vishwa Kalyan Purkayastha at Silchar Medical College Hospital on Saturday night. In a meeting on Monday afternoon,
it was decided that memorandums would be submitted to the Chief Minister and the Health Minister mentioning the incident. Journalists will protest in front of the DC office on National Press Day.
Besides, the principal of Silchar Medical College Hospital will be held accountable for the Saturday night incident. Silchar Press Club General Secretary Shankar Dey, Senior Journalists Bikas Chakraborty and Riten Bhattacharya, Vice-Presidents of the club, along with various media persons present on the occasion. Each spoke about the safety of journalists in light of Saturday night’s events.
NEWS 5- The local unemployed youth and citizens roared in protest, alleging that outsiders were being appointed to the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine office in Silchar. On Monday, unemployed youth and citizens staged a dharna program in front of the Unani Medicine office.
Bishu Das, a local citizen, while facing the media, said that before the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine was set up in the office, a case was filed in the court regarding the land in this area. The current land related case is pending.
Besides, before the office started, it was promised that the local unemployed youth would be given employment. But now it is seen that the local people are being deprived of employment.
