He kept on stating only one line that he was not in it
Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra was questioned from Saturday for more than 12 hours by UP Police about the incident on October 3 at Lakhimpur Kheri when a group of farmers was trampled over by an SUV belonging to him.
He evaded many pointed questions about the sequence of events on October 3 and could not answer satisfactorily. Mishra at last was arrested at 10.50.pm on Saturday and sent to the Lakhimpur jail in the morning at 1. a.m on Sunday.
It is learnt that Ashish Mishra was unable to explain his location between 2.30 p.m and 3.30 p.m. on October 3 when the incident took place.
It is to be noted that his phone location showed him closer to the crime scene. Though Minister’s son admitted the SUV that ran over farmers belongs to him, but he kept on stating only one line that he was not in it.
According to reports emerging Mishra had no explanation for his whereabouts at the time when the incident took place because the wrestling match which he mentioned he was attending had ended by then.
