The district administration has taken a firm stance by prohibiting the filming of videos and reels, particularly those featuring songs, within the revered premises of the Mata Tripurasundari Temple in Agartala, Tripura.

This decision comes in response to the widespread backlash caused by a viral video reel depicting a woman dancing within the temple grounds.

In an official order signed by Gomati District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, it is explicitly stated that improper photography or videography of the idol of Shree Shree Mata Tripurasundari, as well as the creation of videos or reels containing songs or dances that disrespect the Mother Goddess or display indecency within the temple premises, are strictly forbidden.

This prohibition extends to the dissemination of such content on media or social platforms, recognizing the potential to offend religious sentiments and beliefs.

The order emphasizes the gravity of violations, warning of stringent actions to be taken under existing criminal laws against offenders.

All individuals are urged to refrain from any activities mentioned above, as stated in the order, to uphold the sanctity and reverence of the Mata Tripurasundari Temple.
