Manipur’s Chief Secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar on Monday afternoon shifted to RIMS Hospital ICU after he has been tested Covid-19 positive
Earlier on 9th April he had his sample collected as he was showing symptoms after attending a VVIP party and subsequently tested positive for Covid-19
Though Dr Rajesh Kumar has been on home isolation at his official quarter located in Imphal East’s Sanjenthong under the supervision of senior doctors from JNIMS Hospital but later on Monday afternoon Rajesh Kumar was suppose to be shifted to Delhi AIIMS in an Air Ambulance.
It is learnt that the though Air Ambulance arrived in Imphal, but he could not be shifted as there was no clearance from AIIMS Delhi looking into shortage of beds. The air ambulance eventually left Imphal without him being transported.
Now Dr. Kumar has now been shifted to RIMS Hospital ICU as his health condition became serious.
