Imphal: Fresh violence has been reported from Sugnu and Kakching as sources said two commandos of Manipur have lost their life to a gunfight that took place with a militant outfit.The angry woman protesters have apparently blocked the convoy of Indian Army who they allege are doing nothing against the Kuki militants.

The woman volunteers claimed that the Kuki militants have set afire around 200 houses and are using the border with Myanmar as their safe passage.

Meanwhile, the Rights and Risk Analysis Group (RRAG) has urged union home minister Amit Shah who is on a three day visit in Manipur to consider of imposing President’s rule since the state government has failed to bring the situation under control.
