The State Government has taken several measures through Manipur Bhawan, New Delhi to assist the population from Manipur residing in Delhi and NCR.

An oxygen cylinder bank with 10 cylinders has been opened at the Bhawan. It will provide oxygen to needy patients through student organizations against medical prescriptions or reports. The Delhi Government has made arrangements for filling the cylinders and the Bhawan authority will assist the State natives whenever required. Today, some cylinders were issued through student organizations like KSO, Zillai, Tangkhul Students’ Union, NSUD, ZSUD, etc.

Manipur Bhawan has also provided 200 oximeters, N95 masks, and sanitizers to student bodies for community use. Teleconsultation facility has been provided through the Medical Officer of Manipur Bhawan. Moreover, COVID helpline numbers of Manipur and RIMS mental health helpline numbers have been shared to facilitate consultation in the vernacular language.

To facilitate home-based RT-PCR tests, Manipur Bhawan has tied up with a private diagnostic laboratory which has also agreed to provide a discount to all the Manipur residents of Delhi. Manipur Bhawan is in constant contact with the community through student organizations for any assistance.
