Imphal : As part of the celebration of Raksha Bandhan festival, the Brahma Kumaris (Daughters of Brahma) of Manipur led by its state in-charge, Km. BK Nilima tied Rakhi to the Governor of Manipur, Miss Anusuiya Uikey on Wednesday at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, and exchanged gifts.
The governor also tied Rakhi and presented gifts to them to mark the auspicious celebration. The governor expressed gratitude to the Brahma Kumaris for their selfless dedication and efforts towards imparting the message of love, oneness, and peace to all the people.
She urged them to reach out to the Internally Displaced persons (IDPs) taking refuge at various relief camps and conduct meditation programs to instill the message of love and peace amongst all. The governor also extends her warm greetings and best wishes to all, especially to the people of Manipur, on this auspicious and joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
She appealed to honor this tradition, which has been an embodiment of the natural family bond of Love and a face of serenity in humanity. She further wishes to the people of the state that with this bond of family love and affection, Manipur will rekindle its glory of a peaceful state.
