In view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, Quarantine and testing for all fresh entrants to Manipur are necessary. The Governor of Manipur has issued an order that all officials and labour entering Manipur shall undergo Mandatory COVID-19 testing.

A large number of officials and labour linked to various big projects relating to Railways, Roadways, Power, Water Supply and others are working in Manipur. More officials and labour are likely to enter the state in the coming days.

Government has notified that concerned companies/agencies to arrange for their quarantine either in paid or separate quarantine facility with due approval from the state government. They may also use the paid testing facilities that are now available in Manipur as per prevailing rates for testing.

However, free testing at VRDL labs of RIMS and JNIMS will also be allowed, subject to the company/agency making their own arrangements for test sample collection. State Health Department can assist in initial training and VTM supplies.
