Khoupam Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Spear Corps foiled a terrorist bid to disrupt peace along Old Cachar Road in Noney District, Manipur on 9th March.

Based on specific intelligence an operation was launched by security forces near Zouangtek village. The troops recovered one carbine, one Pump action Shot Gun, two .22 mm pistols, ammunition, lathode rounds, grenades, and Radio set along with ration and clothing. The recovered items were handed over to Noney Police Station for further investigation.
