Governor of Manipur has issueed shoot at sight order to contain the prevailing ethnic clash that erupted in Manipur. To maintain the law and order situaion in the state governor has authorised all district magistrate concerned to issue Shoot at sight orders in extreme cases whereby all forms of persuation, warning, reasonable force etc had been exhausted under the provisions of law under CrPC, 1973 and situation could not be controlled.

Helpline Centre

Further the Home department of Government of Manipur has opened Helpline centre to provide help and assistance to persons affected by the current law and order situation in the State.

Person affectedby the present law and order situation and requiring assistance may contact the Home Department at any of the following helpline numbers

Relief Camps

As an immediate measure State Government have set up temporary relief camp at 1st & 2nd Bn. Manipur Rifles and 9th IRB for people, labourer who are stranded or feel insecure in their current location. Deputy Commissioners and SPs are cordinating the evacution process.

Further nodal officers namely Bantee Singh Konthoujam, Angom Heera Singh, K. Kenish Sharma, P. Shantikumar are appointed for Tengnoupal, Churachandpur, Senapati and Kangpokpi districts respectively.
