Y. Khemchand Singh,  Speaker of  Manipur Legislative Assembly visited the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal today where he donated ten Medical Oxygen B-type Cylinders for the welfare of the people.

The  Speaker appreciated the doctors, nurses, para-medical Staffs and other frontline workers for working tirelessly and sacrificing to fight COVID-19 pandemic. Prof. A. Santa Singh, Director, RIMS, warmly welcomed the  Speaker,  Y. Khemchand Singh. The Director Prof. A. Santa Singh and Medical Superintendent, Prof. H. Priyoshakhi Devi apprised the steps being taken up to fight COVID-19 Pandemic in the hospital. Y. Khemchand Singh also distributed cash rewards to the officials, Staff, and some selected Departments of RIMS, Imphal for their distinguished services during the COVID-19 pandemic in the month of May 2021.

Sudharshan Sharma, Biomedical Engineer, RIMS, Oxygen Team Member, Huidrom Gipson Singh, Thoi, Supervisor (CRED), Dr. Vijaya E, Vaccination Officer and the team of Department of Obst & Gynaecology and Microbiology Department & VRDL were the recipient of cash rewards.
