Haflong : The newly constructed Administrative Building Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dima Hasao was inaugurated by Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Govt. of India in presence of V. Bhagaiah, National Executive Member, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Debolal Gorlosa, chief executive member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Ranu Langthasa, Chairperson DHAC, Dr. Bidyut Chandan Deka, vice chancellor Assam Agriculture University, Dr. Kadirvel Govindasamy, Director, ICAR-ATARI Zone vi, at Miyungkhro, Dima Hasao on Sunday.

In this connection a well-attended meeting was held wherein Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Govt. of India graced the program as the chief guest while V. Bhagaiah,National Executive Member, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh attended as the Guest of honor.

Minister Kulaste while expressing his satisfaction over the setting of KVK in Dima Hasao a far-flung area of N E India, said this KVK in Dima Hasao would play an important role to enhance the knowledge of tribal farmers for multiplying their crop production. He encouraged the farmers and the youths of the district to come forward for farming since farming is one of the major ways of life for prosperity.

V. Bhagaiah, National, Executive Member, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Debolal Gorlosa, chief executive member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Ranu Langthasa, Chairperson DHAC, Dr. Bidyut Chandan Deka, vice chancellor Assam Agriculture University, Dr. Kadirvel Govindasamy, Director, ICAR- ATARI Zone in their enlightening speeches appealed to Gaon Buras, farmers and youths not to neglect farming or farmers rather farming should be encouraged since many people in other places have made their lives prosperous and rich taking farming as their prime sources of income also many Indian youths returned from abroad and took up farming and established themselves as big exporters.

They said to come forward and to take full advantage of KVK and other government schemes which are solely meant for enhancement of our native produces.The program was attended by Executive Members, Samuel Changsan, Ratan Jarambusa, Golojo Thaosen, Ramgalungbe Jeme, MAC Monjit Naiding, Officials from various line departments, Gaon Buras of severalvillages who donated the land, and RSS officials.
