Imphal :  Condemning IED explosion at Kwakta village in Manipur on Wednesday which injured three person including a minor boy the Manipur Muslim Welfare Organization (MMWO) today stated that victimisation of Meitei Pangal is not acceptable in the ethnic conflict of Manipur.

In a press briefing done by MMWO advisor Abdullah Phundreimayum said that the blast incident that injured three persons is not the lone incident where Meitei Muslim are targeted. A youth was on May 15 was critically injured in the firing of armed miscreants.

He asked how the miscreants were able to detonate the high intensity IED at a place where there is a large number of security personnel. He also fears that such incidents are targeted towards all communities with the agenda, so that they get involved in the ongoing conflict.


Three person were injured as a high intensity bomb exploded that destroyed a RCC bridge on the Moirang River in Bishnupur district on Wednesday night.
