Kohima: A major friction within the NSCN (K) faction has reportedly come to light as three brigades of this group– GHQ Brigade (II), Tangshang area, Brigade (III), Konyak Region, Wancho Region, Leinong Region issued a statement saying that they will no longer under the leadership of Yung Aung—the commander of the Myanmar based insurgent group.

The rebels have accused Aung of changing the logo of their organization unilaterally. Security analysts feel that this rebellion will have a very deep impact on Aung and it will test his leadership skills because he is now without the core brigades of his outfit.
