Incessant and heavy rains caused flash floods and landslides in many areas in and around Mangkolemba, Mokokchung, and left the town completely cut off on 10^th August 2022.

At Hokiyong ward, 12 houses were damaged by landslides. It is also been reported that the road between Khar village and Mangkolemba has been blocked due to debris and rocks and road blockages at many locations connecting Mangkolemba town and Japu village.

Incessant flood is also reported at Japu village which has caused severe damaging paddy fields.
