Besides the four from Nagaland, 16 others from the North East also cleared the civil services exam
Kohima: Four candidates from Nagaland– three females and one male- brought laurels to the state when they were declared successful in the UPSC examination 2022 among 933 other candidates across India. In the UPSC 2022 results, women scooped the top four ranks besides being 12 among the top 20 ranks.
The successful Naga candidates include Er. Yimkum I Ozukum (All India Rank 203), Vevotolu Kezo (AIR 387), Imkongnukla Ao (AIR 723) and W Aotula Ozukum (AIR 874).
It may be noted that Er. Yimkum is serving as Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Nsong, Peren district. Imkongnukla, Vevotolu and Aotula had recently cleared the NPSC exam 2021. Imkongnukla is currently on probation as EAC, Vevotolu Kezo as Deputy Superintendent of Police and Aotula as Secretariat Assistant (Nagaland Secretariat Service).
Yimkum (NPSC 2018 batch NCS) and Imkongnukla (NPSC 2021 batch NCS) are first rank holders of their respective service batch, while Vevotolu (2021 batch NPS) and Aotula (2021 batch NSS) are second rank holders of their service batch.

They include six from Assam, three from Arunachal Pradesh, four from Manipur and one each from Meghalaya, Sikkim and Tripura. Assam lad Mayur Hazarika secured the fifth rank in UPSC civil services examinations 2022.
