Transport Department, Government of Nagaland in a Notification No. TPT/MV/05/2020 has informed that the temporary suspension of services pertaining to the registration of vehicles and driving licenses is hereby lifted. The Motor Vehicles Department shall resume with immediate effect its function of registration of vehicles and issue of driving licenses.

SOP on Covid-19 as issued by the State and subsequent periodical instructions as issued by the Government must strictly be adhered to.

In another notification, the Transport Department has notified that validity of Fitness Certificate, Permit (all types), Driving License, Registration on any other concerned documents whose extension of validity could not or not likely be granted due to lock- down and which had expired since 1st February 2020 or would expire by 31st December 2020, the same will be treated as valid till 31st December 2020.
