District Sports Association organised Bishnupada Gupta Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament for under thirteen at Satindramohan Deb stadium here. Six schools participated in the tournament.
A cash prize of rupees eight thousand along with the trophy was handed over to the winning team Narshing H.S School whereas the runners up Government Boys School received rupees five thousand and a trophy. The match was, however, halted after few overs due to sudden rain.
In the prize giving ceremony the winners received the prize from Cachar District chairman Kousik Ray, donor family’s Abhijeet Gupta, Biswadeep Gupta Managing Trustee KRC Foundation , Arijit Gupta, Arindam Gupta, Babool Hore President of Silchar DSA, Bijendra Singh Assistant Secretary, Chandan Sharma, Ajay Chakroborty, Niranjan Das Cricket Secretary and other dignitaries were also present. They all got introduced to the players and they interacted with them.
This was the first year of this Bishnupada Gupta Trophy. For the next edition it is expected that more schools will join in. The administrators informed KRC Times that, they will plan the tournament at the beginning of the cricket session, around September 2019.
It was a rain efected match both the could have won but umpires and offical played negative role where they all said light permit up 3 3o pm but light was there 5 15 pm when prize distribution was done the sun was shining,accoding the Laws of cricket play must go on i) Result is not achive 2) quta of overs is not bowel or all wkt is not fallen 3)common sense becoz the match is u 13,, it Indias no 1 sports game justice should be done ,
