Noklak gets new branch of Nagaland cooperative bank

MLA Benei M Lamthiu appreciated the pioneers and stakeholders for the achievement of opening of the new branch

Kohima: MLA and Chairman DPDB Noklak, P. Longon inaugurated the 22nd branch of Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB), in Kiamngan ward, Noklak.

According to a DIPR report, in his speech, Longon stated that since the economy of the district is based on agri-related activities, the opening of the NStCB was a milestone for Noklak as it will boost the economy and uplift the rural and urban people of the district.

Longon also requested the staff of the Bank to give guidance for the upliftment of the people and urged the people of the district to start opening accounts in Nagaland State Co-operative Bank and avail all benefits of the bank and also urged the people of the district to work hard and start businesses with the loan available in the banks.

MLA Benei M Lamthiu appreciated the pioneers and stakeholders for the achievement of opening of the new branch. He added that the bank would help not only in financial inclusion but also for income generation and a source of livelihood.

In his keynote address, MD NStCB, Bendangnungsang said NStCB is to help the customers to achieve economic success and financial security. While elaborating on the Social Security Schemes, he requested all the account holders and customers to open social security schemes.

He also spoke on Cash Deposit Ratio and Non-Performing Assets. Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Arikumba thanked the Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd for opening its branch at Noklak Town. He also urged all the people of

the district to give full cooperation to the staff and appealed to the citizens to use the facilities which are available in the banks.

General Manager Officer –in –Charge, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Tiakala Ao, in her message, mentioned that the opening of the new branch of NStCB Ltd. in Noklak district will further enhance the accessibility and convenience of the bank’s customers in this remote part of the state and enable them to avail the benefits of various schemes and initiative launched by the bank.

Vice Chairman, NStCB Kekhwengulo Lea, President Khiamniungan Tribal Council M.Thango, Former Vice-President Khiamniungan Tribal Council, L.L Buming, and President VDB Block Union Panpan also spoke during the occasion.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by GM NStCB Jonah Sema, and a vote of thanks was delivered by Jt. RCS, Tuensang (i/c ARCS, Noklak) Chume Chang.
