Diphu : Assam Rachnatmak Nonia Sanyukta Sangh observed its seventh establishment day in Mailoo Hindi High School, Mailoo of West Karbi Anglong district on 14 February. The locality is located within the general area of Kheroni.The observation was marked by a quiz competition conducted by Rajesh Kumar Chauhan and Dharmendra Chauhan. Around hundred participants’ ranging from standard III to XI representing nearby schools took part in the contest. The participants and winners were awarded and certificates were given by the RNSS.

In the same program Dr. Rajen Singh Chauhan, assistant professor of Hojai Girls College, Dr Shio Jee Chauhan, lecturer of Udali College Lanka, Dr Bind Kumar Chauhan professor of Bongaigaon College and Dr Rajesh Kumar Chauhan, assistant professor, Dokmoka College all from Nonia community of Assam were felicitated for obtaining doctorate degree (PhD); they were honored with a Bhojpuri traditional cloths and citation.

In the open session Jay Singh Chauhan, chairman of the school managing committee, remained present as the chief guest. Addressing the distinguished gathering Dr. R.K Chauhan, professor of Thong Nok Bey College Dokmoka accentuated the need to obtain the Other Backward Community certificate to Nonia community members domiciled in thin district. Dr Shiojee Chauhan, professor of Udali College, Lanka showed gratitude to the Nonia organization and mentioned that money cannot be a hindrance for education.

Other dignitaries present at the meeting were Subhash Gond headmaster of Mailoo Hindi School, Rameshwar Chauhan headmaster of Belbari Hindi LP School, Raj Narayan Chauhan assistant teacher of ARB High School Nawailbil, Kishore Kumar Chauhan assistant teacher.
