Dimapur: NSCN/GPRN (Niki) Wokha region has banned sale and transportation of all contraband drugs and alcohol within the district.

In a press release, region chairman, Eyingo Tsanglao and secretary, Likao Tungoe informed that the banned has been imposed as use of drugs and alcohol has badly impacted the society especially the youths. The region has also appealed to all the concerned departments of Wokha district to properly initiate the development programmes diligently for the betterment of the state and general public.

Meanwhile, the region appealed and sough cooperation from Lotha Hoho, civil societies, churches, student bodies and general public for a better tomorrow. It further cautioned that strict action will be initiated against any individual found demanding any sort of bribe/extortion on behalf of NSCN/GPRN (Niki) Lotha region.
