Governor of Nagaland, P.B. Acharya stated that the government schools usually attract students from poorer communities, but this should not stop them from achieving education.

Head teacher, GMS School, Mimi Yhoshu shared her gratitude towards the Governor and his wife for adopting the GMS School and helped in taking the school to greater heights. She also said that the visits by wife of the Governor to their school has always been encouraging, not only to the students but also to the teachers, with her passion and love for teaching. She further mentioned that through their initiation, the school got an opportunity to expose and interact with various organisations from outside the State which has been helping them to introduce a library program and computer workshop which will enhance the children with their reading and comprehensive skills and also with their technological knowledge.
