Imphal: Konthoujam Gram Panchayat peace committee on Monday submitted a memorandum to the union home minister Amit Shah through their local MLA Dr S Ranjan Singh.

The signitaories demanded for the immediate restoration of normalcy and suspension of talks with the Kuki militants. They also called for the imposition of NRC in Manipur and stringent action against CRPF. The committee made it clear that it is not in favour a separate administration—at the same time expects a detailed report from the state government regarding the present situation in Manipur.
