The concerned people of Khandong, Garampani 3 kilo and also of Umrangso drawing his attention lodged a complaint to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Environment, and Forest, Govt of Assam through the Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao to cause an enquiry and to take appropriate action against one Jibon Bodo Forester II and his team for destroying the forest and harassing the public.

In their representation, they stated that Dima Hasao is one of the districts of Assam having a rich forest and the forest revenue is the prime source of revenue for the N C Hills Autonomous Council. The Council team headed by Chief Executive Member has been doing hard to protect the forest and natural resources of the district for an increase in revenue to the Council. 

But, one Jibon Bodo, Forester II who has been in charge of Khandong Forest gate, and his team allegedly in connivance with timber smugglers from Meghalaya have destroyed the entire Khandong forest and even the plantation. He has been suspended for his rough and mischievous activities. After he was reinstated Bodo began the same thing in full swing. People are also being harassed by him every now and then for the reasons best known to him.  

Therefore, the concerned people of Garampani and Umrangso have requested PCCF kindly to cause an enquiry and to take appropriate action against Jibon Bodo and his team so that the Forest is saved from such destruction.
