Prime Minister’s overarching scheme for holistic nourishment called Poshan Abhiyaan was inaugurated Poshan Mela at Town Hall of Tseminyu in Nagaland organised by the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with line Departments at Tseminyu Town Hall on 30th August 2019,

Anganwadi Workers, Self Help Groups with their local produce for vegetable mela participated in the day-long program.
           
On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nokchasashi Kichu expressed his appreciations towards Cash crop farmers, especially vegetables and fruits producers and also encouraged them to continue their farming in extensive manner. Later ADC visited the organic vegetable mela put up by various SHG at Town Hall.
           
CDPO Kohima (Tribal), James Ezung delivered speech on Poshan Abhiyaan-IEC & Advocacy, and spoke about complementary feeding to be maintained accordingly, in which CDPO also mentioned the two types of malnutrition that causes health problems. CDPO therefore asked the participants to understand the manner of proper nutrition to build up the health of children.
