Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu today accepted to have a separate discussion on the acute water shortage and water crisis faced by the country.

Immediately as the house met for the day, members cutting across the party lines raised the issue of water scarcity. Members demanded immediate government action. 

They also demanded a separate special discussion on the issue. Mr Naidu requested the members to decide on the time to be allocated for the discussion.
