The SINGHAT BATTALION under the aegis of CHURACHANDPUR SECTOR Assam Rifles organised a one day Career Counseling Workshop at St Mary’s School , Behiang , a border village on the southern most boundary of Churachandpur Sector on 27 May 2019.

The workshop was conducted as an interactive session with students interacting with the Officer Commanding , COB Behiang , who apart from the military experience of over 10 years has a varied experience of working with multi national companies before joining the Army .

Students of class 9th and 10 th were in attendance and were provided guidance and expertise towards various career options available to them. Over 85 students attended the workshop and interacted with the officer thus providing an indepth insight into various career opportunities available to them.

The participants were elucidated about the significance of career planning, goal setting and confidence building. Various scholarship schemes, CSR fellowships and essentials of entrepreneurship were also explained and discussed in detail during the interaction.

The students were seen engrossed deeply during the seminar, enquiring about the career options in various streams, institutions available and timeline to apply for the same. The school and college authorities conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Singhat Battalion and Assam Rifles for organising such a unique workshop for the benefit of students in such remote areas.
