According to the shrine board over 2.38 lakh pilgrims have performed the ongoing Amarnath Yatra during the last 19 days.  Another batch of yatris left Jammu on Saturday for the cave shrine in the Kashmir Valley.

Pilgrims can approach the cave shrine either through 45 km-long Pahalgam route or the shorter 14 km-long Baltal route.  The Yatris from Nunwan Pahalgam route were allowed to move towards holy cave. However, the upward movement of Yatris remained suspended from Baltal route in Ganderbal district due to rain and slippery track conditions.

The 46-day Yatra will conclude on August 15, 2019 coinciding with Raksha Bandhan and Shravan Purnima.
