Agartala : A review meeting was held recently at Hambai Para of Bru Settlement under Labancherra Village Committee of Manu RD Block in Longtharai Valley sub-division of Tripura. The said meeting was organized so as to learn and resolve various problems of Bru settlers during their stay there and bring those to the notice of the administration and concerned authorities.
The meeting was formally reviewed by Additional DM & Collector, Dhalai district, Ajit Shukla Das in presence of Manu BDO Santanu Das and social activist Secretary of Bru Settlement Committee, Ezza Chorkhi.
In the meeting it was deliberated to provide uninterrupted power service connection, drinking water facilities to every household, quality improvement of education with English and Science faculty in the existing private SB Schools, formation of JFMC (Joint Forest Management Committee) for specific land allotment or diversion, reshuffle and formation of SHGs under TRLM umbrella involving all women of Hambai Para of Bru Settlement area.
Other issues discussed were skill development training, early setting up of Health Sub-Centre, Aadhar enrollment campaign and Valid Account opening campaign involving all concerned banks, supply of requisite commodities in the habitation Ration (FP) shop.
It was also informed that amongst 500 targeted families, 413 familes have settled there and the habitation is currently divided into 5 wards. Furthermore, new school building is being constructed by RD department which is likely to complete in the present financial year. Besides, 5 Check Dams were excavated by Forest department, action plan has been made by Agriculture department for installing various horticulture based plantations. ARDD official in the meeting informed that piggery, goatery and poultry schemes shall be implemented in the coming days.
Officials of SDM office, Education, PWD, Fishery, DWS, Agriculture, Forest, Health, ICDS, Panchayat, ICA, RD, TSECL, FEEDCO, TRLM, Police and other field functionaries were also present in the meeting.
