Imphal: Coming out of the review meeting with senior cops and corp commanders of the security establishment union home minister Amit Shah said that,” I have asked the officials to follow a no holds barred approach against those who will try to disturb peace and tranquility.
Shah further said that the top priority of the government is to restore peace and normalcy in Manipur.
“I have asked the security forces that Delhi wishes to see the return of peace and tranquility at the earliest in Manipur,” Shah quipped.
Reviewed the security situation in Manipur in a meeting with senior officials of the Manipur Police, CAPFs and the Indian Army in Imphal. “Peace and prosperity of Manipur is our top priority, instructed them to strictly deal with any activities disturbing the peace,” he tweeted.
The home minister is currently visiting Manipur as part of efforts to bring back peace in the ethnic violence-hit state.
