Sikkim’s 12th class students group from Palijor Namgyal Girls Senior Secondary School is going to participate from  India in  Robotex Asia which will be held from 16th August to 19th at Shanghai in China.

This group of three students Sristika Sharma, Sheba Lepcha, and Prerna Pradhan will be accompanied with their Physics teacher Ivan D Lepcha.

Under his mentorship, these trio groups invented their unique robotic technology.

The same team will also represent the Country by participating in International Robotex competition which will be held at Tallinn in Estonia, Europe in coming November.

Earlier this group bagged the first position in line follower category of Robotex national competition which was held at Ahmedabad.

Robotics competition usually has different categories within them line following is considered as a very popular step with a maximum number of participants.

A line follower robot is designed and programmed to follow a particular track given by the judges on a mat. Robotex event has the largest mat and thinnest line with sharp angles and loops, making it in India is really challenging task.
