Silchar : Jay Radhe Seba Samiti and Lifeline Forever Foundation felicitated forty-two social welfare organisations and 55 journalists in a programme held on Sunday at Rajib Bhavan in Silchar. The chief guest on the occasion was DIG( South Zone) Kangkan Jyoti Saikia. Other prominent guests included Lakhipur MLA Kaushik Roy, senior RSS Pracharak Sashikant Chothaiwale, Silchar Press Club secretary Sankar Dey and social worker Swarnali Choudhury.

The organisers said that the social voluntary organisations and the journalists work tirelessly for the uplift of the masses with the selfless service. The programme was a humble gesture in recognition of their relentless contributions. The recipients expressed their joy and delight in being recognised for their works. The event organisers included founding members Soumitra Dutta Roy and Pallabita Sharma along with President of Radhe Seba Samiti Joydeep Chakroborty.
