The 43rd Nagaland Inter District and State Open Badminton Championship 2019 under the aegis of Nagaland Badminton Association which started on 3rd September is being hosted by Zunheboto District Badminton Association for the year 2019.
                       

Zunheboto Deputy Commissioner Peter Lichamo welcomed the dignitaries, players, delegates and encouraged the players to play with good game spirit.
           

Vice President, Nagaland Badminton Association, Lemjan Phom explained on how and when Nagaland Badminton Association came into existence.

In the first senior match Zunheboto district defeated Longleng district in straight sets and in second match Peren district defeated Tuensang district also in a straight sets.
           
Special guest Pukhayi said that Badminton is a fine and attractive game and if one value one’s own health then one should take up playing Badminton. He declared the championship open.
