The Meghalaya Football Association Generates New Employment Opportunity for the Youths

The Meghalaya Football Association has recently announced a short-term work experience for the unemployed youth by giving them work on weekends for the new season of the Meghalaya Baby League and other MFA events.

The Meghalaya Football Association which recently have announced the second season of Meghalaya Baby League in June 2019, have initiated for a structured volunteer programme for the new season of the Meghalaya Baby League and other MFA events. The game will be held in six districts across the state.

Recently the Football Association have welcomed volunteers to apply for the event. The objective of the volunteer programme is to provide short-term work experience and skill up-gradation for unemployed youth and give them productive work on weekends. It has been designed in a way to build leadership and responsibility capabilities amongst youth. It will also act as a community-building activity and prepare the volunteers for opportunities in sports and other fields.

They have announced for 60 openings. The interested volunteers can submit their applications at the Meghalaya Football Association office at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Polo, Shillong during office hours or through their email i.e. meghalaya.fa@gmail.com, by 30 July 2019.

The Association is looking for individuals who are 18 years and above of age and who are seeking skill development are requested to apply. There will also be a female quota of 30 per cent (minimum). Selected volunteers will receive a certificate at the end of the programme as well as travelling expenses and refreshments on working days along with T-shirts.
