A tipper truck dashed against a transmission tower setting off a massive power outage in several parts of West Karbi Anglong and Hojai District. This power line is under the Sankardev Nagar grid substation, controlled by Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited (AEGCL). The incident occurred at 4.39 am today.

Teams from AEGCL are currently on-site conducting maintenance and repair work to restore the affected lines. Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL) has stated that their lines will only be re-energized once AEGCL completes the necessary restoration work.

The power outage has impacted numerous residents and businesses establishments, leading to widespread inconvenience. APDCL has expressed regret for the disruption and assured the public that efforts are being made to restore normalcy in power supply as swiftly as possible.
