Suklabaidya hoped that the school will flourish in the coming days
SILCHAR : In sync with the Government move to make 18 new Adarsha Vidyalayas functional from the 2023-2024 academic session, the Adarsha Vidyalaya at Lakhipur constituency was ceremoniously inaugurated by Minister of Transport Fisheries and Excise Parimal Suklabaidya at the Dewan tea Estate on Tuesday.
Lakhipur MLA Kaushik Rai and Cachar Deputy Commissioner along with ADC Antara Sen and Inspector of Schools Samina Yesmin Ara Rahman attended the inauguration ceremony. In his speech, Minister Suklabaidya said that perhaps it is the divine design to have the inauguration ceremony of this all important school for the people of Lakhipur constituency solemnized on the holy occasion of Rathyatra.
Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma took the initiative to open Adarsha Vidyalayas across Assam and Lakhipur MLA Kaushik Rai has done his best to bring one such school in his constituency which shows his concerns to develop the education and culture, health and hygiene aspects for the people here.
Suklabaidya hoped that the school will flourish in the coming days. Addressing the gathering, MLA Kaushik Rai congratulated the people of Lakhipur for this new Vidyalaya and informed that from June 19-June 25 as many as 18 new Adarsha Vidyalayas will be opened and one Vidyalaya has been opened at Lakhipur with great expectations.
Chief Minister had told the MLAs that while there are nearly 119 schools opened in tea gardens of the state, steps would be taken to open new Adarsha Vidyalayas to be opened in each assembly constituencies of the state. As such, this Adarsha Vidyalaya has come up at the Dewan TE which is one of the popular tea gardens in the district.
Despite 31 institutions including high and higher secondary schools, there was no such high or higher secondary schools in the tea garden areas or even the Panchayat areas in the tea belts in the district which was a major concern. After much thoughts and deliberations, it was decided to open the Vidyalaya here in Dewan TE which will help the learners in the vicinity, Rai maintained.
Talking at the event deputy commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha said that the school has started with class-I and Class-VI with 160 students and it will become one of the popular schools like the Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navoday Vidyalaya.
In the coming days, remaining infrastructure of the school will be completed from the government grants. He appealed to the locals of the area to take care of the school which will be the place for their children to give shape to their careers in the future.
