Agartala : Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday conducted a review meeting on the activities of the power department in the state. The meeting discussed in detail what new steps can be taken in the interests of consumers including the continuation of uninterrupted electricity service in the state.

The meeting was conducted in the 2nd conference hall of the secretariat in Agartala. Tripura Minister Ratan Lal Nath and other senior officials of the department were also present at the meeting.

Taking it to a social media post on X, Manik Saha wrote, “Today, we met in an important review meeting on the activities of the power department in the 2nd conference hall of the secretariat. In the presence of Minister Ratan Lal Nath and senior officials of the department, the meeting discussed in detail what new steps can be taken in the interests of consumers including the continuation of uninterrupted electricity service in the state.”

In another social media post, Manik Saha wrote, “Road infrastructure has been a top priority of our government. This 10-km road from Chamtilla (Bhallukcherra) towards Damcherra under Panisagar Block reflects the committed efforts of our government.”

Earlier on Sunday, the Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, paid a visit to the families who were affected by the recent violence that took place in the Ganda Twisa area of the Dhalai district of Tripura on Sunday.

Saha first visited the family of Parameswar Reang, who was attacked at a local fair on July 7 in that area, suffering from grave injuries and later dying on July 12 during treatment at the GBP Hospital in Agartala.

His death erupted a row of violence in which many houses and shops were either looted or set ablaze around five locations on the outskirts of the main Ganda Twisa market.

CM Saha visited the residence of Reang and expressed his condolences to his family. He further announced additional financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh to his family after the state government already announced assistance of Rs 6 lakh to the deceased. (ANI)
