Agartala: The third National Lok Adalat of the year will be held on September 9, Saturday in Tripura High Court and in all other court premises across the state. Altogether 15,271 cases will be sent for trial in 71 benches. Sabyachai Datta Purkayastha, member secretary of the State Legal Services Authority informed the reporters.

He said a total of 7,467 cases of old disputes will be sent to the Lok Adalat for disposal. Apart from that 6,846 cases related to non-recovery of bank loan, 621 cases of non-recovery of BSNL Bills. In addition, 7,804 cases under trial in various courts also will be sent in the Lok Adalat which includes compensations for motor accidents, consumer cases and other compoundable cases.

He said notices has already been sent to all concerned and urged people to take the advantage of disposing cases without any legal expenses.
