Imphal: On Tuesday night violence erupted at Moirang falling under the jurisdiction of Bishnupur district as armed Kuki militants allegedly stormed into a Meitei dominated village and strated firing indiscriminately leaving one seriously injured.

The Meitei volunteers retaliated too. The injured man succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. The situation is tense in the district.
