Maligaon : Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to enhance the capacity of train no. 12042/12041 (New Jalpaiguri – Howrah – New Jalpaiguri) Shatabdi Express and train no. 13054/13053 (Radhikapur – Howrah – Radhikapur) Kulik Express by adding a Vistadome coach.

The Vistadome coach will be attached to train no. 12042/12041 (New Jalpaiguri – Howrah – New Jalpaiguri) Shatabdi Express on a temporary basis with existing coaches from 03^rd July to 31^st August 2023. On train no. 13054/13053 (Radhikapur – Howrah – Radhikapur) Kulik Express Vistadome coach will be attached on a permanent basis with existing coaches from Howrah on 03^rd July, 2023 and from Radhikapur on 04^th July 2023.

Accordingly, train No. 12042/12041 (New Jalpaiguri – Howrah – New Jalpaiguri) Shatabdi Express will run six days a week with 15 coaches instead of the present 14 coaches. The train will have 02 Executive Class AC chair cars, 10 AC chair cars, and 01 Vistadome coach.

Also, train no. 13054/13053 (Radhikapur – Howrah – Radhikapur) Kulik Express will run with 15 coaches instead of the present 14 coaches. The train will have 01 AC chair car, 09 general chair car, 02 general second class, and 01 Vistadome coach.

With the introduction of this ultra-modern Vistadome coach, passengers traveling in the New Jalpaiguri – Howrah and Radhikapur – Howrah routes will be able to experience the panoramic view of nature through the window and a transparent roof.

The Vistadome coach having a seating capacity of 44 passengers per coach, provides an enhanced traveling experience to the passengers and has features that include large glass windows, glass roofs, rotating seats, and an observation lounge, so passengers can witness breath-taking glimpses.
