Agartala: Speaking on the occasion of his completion of one year in office Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)—Indigenous People Front of Tripura (IPFT) coalition government will rule Tripura for the next 50 years.

“We are committed to development and are working in that front. The communists ruled the state for 25 years uninterruptedly. Now, the people of Tripura have voted us to power for the second consecutive time. I am confident that the people of our state will appreciate our work and continue to repose their trust in our governace,” Saha quipped.

At the same breath he also heaped praises on the Prime Minister. “We are getting the guidance from our visionary Prime Minister who has embarked on a journey to make India a developed nation by 2047. Tripura will also contribute its part in that journey,” the chief minister observed.

The top brass of BJP replaced former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb with Saha and the party went to polls under his leadership.

Meanwhile, Saha also candidly admitted that there are certain ‘issues’ and it will be dealt with properly. “One should not worry about the problems. Rather one should strive to look for solutions. BJP believes in simplifying life,” Saha contended.
