Present dispensation in the Union Ministry is to have an Integrated Communication Overreach Policy (ICOP), and for which the media units in particular have to start a revolving communication everyday with the stakeholders of the State- the Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Secretary Office and DIPR. He also mentioned that, PIB Ministry is in the process of setting up media units in integrated style in every state.

We are living in a world of team play and individual geniuses would not work in the long run nor achieve success. Therefore individual geniuses should seek convergence keeping all ego issues down the line and work as a team, said the Director General (NE Zone), PIB Ministry of I&B, Guwahati, L.R Vishwanath while addressing the meeting of Central media units and State stakeholders was held today at Kohima, Nagaland. 

The meeting was organised by the department of Information & Public Relations was chaired by Director IPR, Limawati Ao.


Viswanath giving insight to the Government of India policy informed that the present dispensation in the Union Ministry is to have an Integrated Communication Overreach Policy (ICOP), and for which the media units in particular have to start a revolving communication everyday with the stakeholders of the State- the Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Secretary Office and DIPR. He also mentioned that, PIB Ministry is in the process of setting up media units in integrated style in every state.
            
Vishwanath suggested the inclusion of multi media exhibition of Mahatma Gandhi along with local freedom fighters in 2019 Hornbill festival that takes place in the month of December. 
            
Dy. Director Urban Development, Nagaland, Tarachu Fithu spoke on initiatives for Plastic Free, Nagaland. . 
            
Tarachu, also pointed out that for management of waste, an awarness campaign is being held in three phases. 
            
Director Tourism, Akhale Khamo gave a brief presentation on Hornbill Festival and Tourism potential in Nagaland. She  informed that, inorder to promote Tourism, the tourism department is focussing on two sectors- Culture Tourism and Rural Tourism.
