SILCHAR : An emergent meeting of the core Committee , of YASE CENTRAL COMMITTEE , took place at the office of the organization at Itkhola , Silchar today. The meeting was presided over by President Sanjeev Roy. Different issues and agendas were taken up in the discussion.

The foremost decision taken in the meeting is to organise a Cachar district level ‘Merit Test Competition’ on 11th of August 2024 in the name ‘ 1st Sudarshan Gupta Memorial School Level Merit Test Competition -24’ to pay tribute to the great Educationist Late Sudarshan Gupta.

A 5 member Sub-Committee was formed , in this regard , with Bandita Trivedi Roy as Chairman and Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh (Co-chairman) , Bishal Roy , Dipak Baroi , Sumon Bhattacharjee and Konka Biswas as members. Moreover , to select the personality (one poet/writer of Barak Valley) for ‘7th Chabi Gupta Sriti Puraskar-24’ a 5 member sub-committee was formed with Johor Dey Mazumder as Chairman and Bikram Rabidas , Manna Karmakar , Abdul Mashuk Laskar and Amit Goala as members.

And to select the personalities (educationist/teachers) for ‘3rd Partha Sarathi Chanda Sriti Puraskar-24’, one each from Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi a 5 member sub-committee was formed with Pronoy Nag as Chairman and Sayed Ahmed Borbhuiya ,Sandip Shil ,Samsul Islam and Subir Sarkar as members. Both these award will be given on 5th of September-24.

To promote Cricket in greater Silcoorie area , an inter-school cricket tournament will be Organised, taking 20 schools from the area starting from NIT to Dwarbond. A sub-committee was formed with Ranju Chanda (Sports Secretary of yase) as Chairman , Babul Ahmed Barbhuiya, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Zakir Talukdar and Jai Narayan Singh as members. Some more initiatives were discussed and passed in the meeting for the benefits of the society.
