Effect of plastic “Debo na lobo na” campaign in Hailakandi town in Assam. ARPAN a shop in Bata chowrangee in Hailakandi town has willingly, on his own deposited all the plastic polythene his shop had at Hailakandi Municipal Board office.

District administration of Hailakandi shared the information in social media with their appreciation and commented, ‘we greatly appreciate and congratulate his efforts in leading by example in behavioural change. We urge other vendors and citizens to come forward and do the same by shunning single use plastics for a healthy wealthy happy Hailakandi’.
