A One Day Training Programme on Bamboo & Agarwood Cultivation for Farmers & Frontline staffs etc under Van Vigyan Kendra was organized by Environment & Forest Department, Dima Hasao District in association with Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat, at Haflong, Dima Hasao on Tuesday at Circuit House Haflong wherein the farmers along with the Frontline staffs of the Forest Department participated.

In the Training Programme, DR. Satyam Bardoloi, Scientist, RFRI, Jorhat made a presentation on the various methods adopted for Bamboo Cultivation.

Dr. R. K. Bora, Scientist, RFRI, Jorhat made a presentation on the various aspects of Agarwood cultivation. Dr. R.S.C. Jayaraj, Director, RFRI, Jorhat explained on the legal aspects followed for Agarwood Trade.
