For Innovation and addressing malnourished children needs through health units

Hailakandi district of Assam one of the aspirational district of the state has bagged two awards at recently held State Event on successful completion of Poshan Maah at Srimanta Sankardev International Kalakshetra at Panjabari, Guwahati on 9th November.

The district won the award for showing good innovation and addressing malnourished children needs through health units during the POSHAN MAAH 2019 at the state level.

The award carries a citation and a cash prize of Rs 50000/- each and was given away by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister for Social Welfare Pramila Rani. Additional Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah and State Project Coordinator Poshan and Secretary Social Welfare Hemen Das were present during the ceremony.

Deputy Commissioner J Keerthi credited the awards to newly recruited Poshan team, supervisors, anganwadi workers and helpers who took the Poshan initiatives to newer heights.
